On May 3, 2013 representatives of the Manheim Township Lions Club attended the Manheim Township Leo club meeting for the purpose of installing the 2013-14 Leo officers and to present awards to 2012-13 Leos.
After Leo President Anna called the meeting to order, Lion President Jerry Beyer made some remarks and then PDG Larry Miller installed the incoming Leo officers for 2013-14. The officers are as follows: President Neil, Vice President Ajay, Secretary Kaelin and Treasurer Monica.
For their years of service, seven Leo Seniors, President Anna, Vice President Brian, Secretary Taylor, and Leos Matthew, Jennifer, Brittney and Phu, were presented with Lions International’s Leo Completion of Service Certificates in recognition of their years of service in the Leo Club.
Twenty seven Leos were presented with Certificates of Appreciation for contributing personal time and effort in assisting the Manheim Township Lions Club with one or more fund raising activities and or service projects. Those receiving certificates were Secretary Taylor, President Anna, Vice President Brian, Treasurer Neil, Leos Ajay, Aubrie, Aidan, Alek, Jennifer, Christian, Andrew, Guillermo, Michael, Brittney, Matthew, Christian, Alex, Jonathan, Phu, Maddie, Sangnya, Chase, David, Evan, Monica, Kaelin and Fisayo.
Two Leos, Secretary Taylor and Treasurer Neil, were presented with Community Service Recognition Certificates as members who provided the highest levels of community service.
Three Leos, Treasurer Neil, Leos Guillermo and Bryce, were presented with Certificates of Recognition for representing well both the Manheim Township Leo Club and the Manheim Township Lions Club at Lions District 14-D events.
Leo President Anna received the 100 Percent President Award in recognition for her and the Club’s meeting the requirements set by Lions Clubs International. She also received Lions District 14-D Leo of the Year Award for outstanding leadership skills, achieving a superior record as a Leo in implementing successful service projects, making an identifiable contribution to the development and growth of the Leo Club Program, achieving distinction in community or school activities outside of Leo club commitments and demonstrating high ethical standards and personal integrity.
Leo Secretary Taylor was presented with a letter advising her that she will be receiving the first annual Manheim Township Lions Cub’s Leo Distinguished Leadership and Community Service Award at the upcoming High School Senior Recognition ceremony. In addition, Secretary Taylor received the following awards at the Senior Recognition ceremony: Seth Hampton Memorial Scholarship, Honor Graduate, Lancaster NE Rotary Club Graupensperger Award, MT Music Association Orchestra Award and Eric Stoler Nursing Scholarship
Mr. Wayne Kantz, the Manheim Township High School Faculty Leo Club Advisor, was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for his concern, time, effort and advice given to the officers and members of the Manheim Township Leo Club. The Certificate also expressed the appreciation of the Manheim Township Lions Club for his cooperative interaction with and support of the Manheim Township Lions Club in fulfilling its responsibilities as the Leo Club's sponsoring Lions Club.

Leo Taylor Giambrone was recently honored by being presented with a "Leo Founders Award" from the Pennsylvania State Council of Lions Clubs in recognition of her selection by and as the 2011-2012 Leo of the Year for Pennsylvania Lions District 14-D (Lancaster and Lebanon Counties). Taylor's award commended her for outstanding service and achievement in her club and community.
The award was presented to Leo Taylor by Pennsylvania Lions District 14-D Governor, Joan Rohrbach, at the quarterly District 14-D Cabinet Meeting on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Four Seasons Banquet Center in Landisville, Pennsylvania.
Leo Taylor is the daughter of Michael & Rebecca Giambrone and is currently a senior at the Manheim Township High School where she is also a Member and the Secretary of the Manheim Township Leo Club, which is sponsored at the High School by the Manheim Township Lions Club. Leo Taylor had also previously received the Manheim Township Lions Club 2011-2012 Leo of the Year Award, which resulted in her nomination to and consideration by District 14-D for selection as the District's 2011-12 Leo of the Year. Leo Taylor's leadership, character, scholarship and community service resulted in her being selected by both Lions Organizations for these awards.
